About SeeIntent

My Mission

SeeIntent is where people take control of their lives and achieve their goals.

Through Reinvention Coaching and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, you’ll let go of what is no longer working in your life and step into the essence of who you truly are.

Life can be challenging, and sometimes we need guidance and support to navigate our way through it.

My goal?

To guide you through your own journey, to empower you to find your inner strength, and to see you reach your full potential.

You see, change isn’t a magic wand that I wave.

As Nancy Levin says,

Change = Vision+Choice+Action

Are you ready to make a choice and take action?

Hi, I'm Kristin.

My sense of identity was always tied to my professional success, rather than who I was as a person. So, when I prioritized my husband’s career, moved from Iceland to America (yes, you’ll notice an accent when we speak!), and became a stay-at-home mom to three little boys, I felt lost.

I found myself living in the shadows, neglecting my own needs and putting everyone else first. Even when I was diagnosed with a tumor in my pituitary gland, I opted for radiation instead of surgery - so there would be less downtime, and I could continue taking care of my family!

Through my treatment and recovery, the devastating impact of the financial crash, and the following 10 years of worrying about putting food on the table, I focused solely on caring for everyone else.

Despite the challenges, I refused to give up hope. It was then that I remembered the tools I had learned as a therapist in Iceland, and I began to use them to help me navigate through these challenges. I emerged from the other side even stronger than before, but still insisted on putting myself last.

The death of my beloved mother in 2020 changed my perspective. She had been my rock, everything to me. And I wasn’t sure how I could live without her. Losing her was devastating, but it also forced me to look within and confront my own grief and isolation during the pandemic. As I began to learn more about myself, I saw a strong, trustworthy, and caring woman that I had to take care of. Someone deserving of grace and compassion.

Self-care started to become a part of my everyday routine. I began to explore my limiting shadow beliefs and how they had impacted me in life. I learned to accept vulnerability and not see it as a weakness. And I began to listen to my body, and feel my inner wisdom guide me.

I remembered that true strength comes from within and that it is never too late to start living life on your own terms.

My life’s journey has given me purpose and meaning, bringing me back to myself, my roots, and my passion.

That passion? Guiding others through their own journey and witnessing them discovering their own strengths.

So that's my story

Why did I tell you? Because I’m not a fresh-faced graduate bouncing up and down and telling you to think positively. I want you to feel confident that I take your situation seriously because I’ve faced struggles too.

But it’s the last you’ll hear of it!

Why? Because our work together is all about YOU.

I’m not a storyteller, but I am an excellent listener.

My role isn’t to push all my experience onto you. You are the one best placed to find the solution. I am only there to guide you and help you to uncover it. To rediscover your inner resources.

I’m inviting you to take a risk and give yourself permission to be YOU.

Just take it from my client, N:

“What makes Kristin special is that, a lot of people will say, “I can do this for you, I can give you the tools.”

And instead of that giving you the power it takes more power from you because then you're waiting for them to give you the tools.

Kristin never makes you feel that she's doing anything. She just reminds you that you're doing the things. The power is yours - it’s not for her to give, and it's not for her to take away. She puts the whole responsibility of the program on you.

And that was a beautiful, wonderful difference. It was very refreshing to work with someone that isn’t taking the credit for your success, but reminding you that it's only you.”
